MAKING A SELECTION FROM A DUPLICATE BLUE LAYER

One of the better ways to select stray hair on models or branches and leaves on trees. In short, copy the blue channel, use levels to increase the duplicate blue channel’s contrast. Then on Windows hit control and left click on the duplicate blue channel. Goto your image and make a mask. Its pretty easy and accurate. You can use this method to select any random or organic shape. With both examples some small details may have to be masked over or erased. Have fun! Try it!
